Tourism Travel to Mexico remains Safe

Tourism Travel to Mexico remains Safe - Info regarding the State Department Alert

The recent alert referred to a rising crime rate related to drug trafficking - please note that our traditional tourism destinations are not impacted by this. The traditional tourist areas, such as Cancun, Riviera Maya, Los Cabos and Puerto Vallarta and so on are not included in this alert statement.

The alert refers Mexico/U.S. border towns, such as Tijuana, Ciudad Juarez and Nuevo Laredo, which are located on the borders in Texas, California and Arizona. We do not carry product in these areas.

In fact, Leslie Bassett, Deputy Chief of Mission of the U.S. Embassy in Mexico City, declared that the intention of the alert is to inform of that the change in crime is specific only to certain border towns and is happening as it does in other nations. She clarified that in no way does this alert seek to negatively portray the tourist destinations.

The alert is temporary and does not advise travelers against visiting the many safe
destinations that we serve. Please also note that this was not an advisory or warning, which is more serious. Lastly, this was not a new publication from the State Department, but rather an update to an alert that had been sent out a year ago..

Of course, as we all know, passengers traveling any where should exercise safety and stay in legitimate tourist areas.

Thank you for your support!
